VCRS currently has one employee under the Mature Alaskans Seeking Skills Training (MASST) program. Pam Huyck was employed as a part-time Education Specialist until May 2016. Mary Brist (not pictured) is currently employed as a part-time receptionist. In Alaska MASST is administered by the Department of Labor. Its purpose is to foster individual economic self-sufficiency and promote useful opportunities in community service activities for unemployed persons who are age 55 or older. This program helps Alaska retain the valuable resources of older workers while enabling this population to maintain an independent lifestyle and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
VCRS is fortunate and very grateful to have such an amazing number of regular volunteers. We can’t list every single person or group, but would like to recognize these regular volunteer groups. Thank you to each and every one of you — our precious volunteers!
