For Reuse

In bags or boxes only, not loose.

Category: For Reuse

12, 18 & 24 egg cartons – clean and dry

NO plastic or styrofoam

NO torn or damaged paper cartons – they go in ‘Mixed Paper’

Cartridges with a copper strip are accepted.

NO TONER CONTAINERS

Category: For Reuse

Prescription and reading glasses.
No broken or scratched lenses.
No broken frames.

Metals

Empty cans of contents.
Magnet will NOT stick!

Soup, dog food, vegetables cans, etc OK
Canning lids and rings OK
Steel lids from glass jars OK
Labels left on OK

Scraped, residue free and dry.
NO SPRAY CANS of any kind.

Category: Metals

Aluminum foil, pie plates, food cans (Spam, Vienna sausage, sardines) and lids.
Cat food cans and lids.
Clean and dry.
KEEP SEPARATE from aluminum beverage cans.
Magnet will NOT stick!

Look for ridges!
Please flatten.
NO ‘waxed’ boxes.
Empty, clean & dry.
NO greasy pizza boxes.

Magazines, catalogs, cereal type boxes, softcover books, covers from paper reams, non-manila folders, Astrobright and neon colored paper, mustard colored envelopes, construction paper, greeting cards, poster board, egg cartons/flats.

Empty, clean and dry.

NO cartons of any type – NO milk, half-n-half or cream cartons, NO juice cartons, NO soup or broth aspetic packaging, NO goldfish cracker cartons, NO ice cream cartons, NO Baker’s Sugar cartons. There is a Carton Council Mail-In Program if you’d like to participate (mailing costs apply).

Category: Paper

Computer, white, pastel-colored, fax, legal pad, phone message pad, true manila file folders & envelopes, post-it notes, card stock, white envelopes, junk mail, index cards, and bagged shredded. Cellophane windows & staples OK.

Empty and rinse. Must have a triangle and the #5.

Milk, windshield cleaner, cat litter, liquid laundry detergent, shampoo, etc.
Empty and rinse.
NO motor oil or paint containers.
NO lids.

Must be a bottle shape, have a neck and have a triangle and the #1.
Will have a dimple on the bottom.
Soda, juice, water bottles, etc.
Empty & rinse.
NO LIDS.

FYI: the plastic packaging containing berries, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, nuts, baked goods, etc. with a triangle and the #1 CANNOT BE INCLUDED as they are not the same chemically. The end users who buy our #1 PET bottles do not want those other plastics (called thermo-forms) included; they want bottles only.
