SHINE ON IN 2027!
RECYCLE RIGHT
Sort at home. Bring it sorted. It helps everyone! Please sort your recycling before you arrive! The winter brings cold and windy weather and having all your recycling pre-sorted and ready to go helps minimize your exposure to the elements. When everything is sorted ahead of time, the line moves faster and makes things easier for everyone. Our recyclers, staff and volunteers will all appreciate it - and it helps things moving smoothly for everyone.
Please remember: There is no sorting on site! When we are busy and your items aren't sorted, you may be asked to take them back, sort them properly, and come back once they're ready to go. Thanks for your efforts and thanks for recycling right!
BECOME A MEMBER
The 2027 car decals are here! If you are already a member, your 2026 memberships are good through the end of the year. We are now offering 2027 memberships to new members, current members who would like to renew early, and for gift memberships - in time for holiday giving.
The 2027 decal features the 100th anniversary of the Alaska State flag, which was designed by 13 yr. old Benny Benson in 1927. Get yours today!
EARN A GOLD STAR
We take notice when recyclers come with a clean, separated load ready to drop right down the chutes. We call you our "gold star" recyclers. Chances are you have received a gold star for your good work. If you don't have one, maybe you can work towards earning one in 2027. Pick up one of our flyers, go to our website, or ask about attending a field trip to get educated on what goes where. We have a friendly staff and volunteers that are here to help you. Always feel free to ask questions that will help you to "SHINE ON!"
